No. One cannot focus a scatter gun and that's what is needed to address the health care issues in this country. Many many players, all of whom need to be factored into any reform measures.

If you mandate that an insurance company insure someone who had pancreatic cancer 6 months ago and they pay two months of premiums at, for example, $300 per month and that person then requires further treatment at a cost of $60,000 (such cost components need to be looked at closely) then who will make up the difference? If not a premium increase for the well persons also being insured by that company, then who? The government? Hey, that's you and me.... with or without insurance.

Everyone always talks about the insurance companies, how about the doctors? All parties need to be reformed. Doctors need to be rewarded for making people healthy, not keeping them sick.

I think the issue is bigger than the insurance companies. However, I will say that I think it can certainly be fixed.

Both/All politicians are crooked and I don't trust their best interests, reform needs to start with the insurance companies themselves. Both plans being offered by the candidates can be manipulated by the insurance companies so the benefit really isn't that great.
