Health Insurance Companies Fear Reform
While many people have long feared the ramifications of a universal type health care system, this is the path Obama seems set upon, and more of the American public is behind the idea than ever before. Obama has promised that his plan would allow private insurance companies to work alongside private insurers to offer consumers more choices and would encourage a lowering of premiums as private insurance companies would now have some competition. Insurance companies however have reservations about the government’s involvement in health care and suspect that the lower cost government health insurance plans will eventually push out the private plans altogether. Do you think the health insurance companies will survive if Obama is successful in implementing his universal type health care?
