A recent study revealed that New Mexico has the worst rates of citizens with insurance coverage. Researchers assigned the task of analyzing the results of the studay have determined that there are too many citizens who have a job, but still cannot afford health coverage. While there are programs in place to help the elderly and children without coverage, there are few programs aimed at middle age workers who have employment, but still cannot afford coverage. Also, the rates for Hispanics with insurance was much lower than the rate for whites, which affects New Mexico greatly due to its proportion of Hispanic citizens. What solutions can be developed for this unique problem?

Wonder what the median income levels are in New Mexico? It would be interesting to se if the income correlates to the low number of insureds.
