Veterans may soon be on their own when it comes to paying for treatment of combat related injuries and illness if the Obama administration goes through with its proposed plan. This has caused a backlash of angry responses from those who feel they are entitled to care due to a long standing pledge that the country would support those who were injured or became ill in the service of defending our country. Veterans attack the proposal on the grounds that it would present a bad image and go against the moral standing of the country. They assert that there are other ways for Obama to save money, including giving less support to companies like AIG for example. Do you agree that it’s an outrage for veterans to have to pay for their own health insurance if they were injured in the line of duty?
