One Student’s Voice in Favor Of Obama
At Penn State University, at least one student is clearly voting for Barack Obama on November 4. Sean Meloy, of the Daily Collegian Online, feels that Obama is the clear choice for those concerned with equality in the workplace, education, and health insurance. Meloy’s take on the health insurance issue is that students, once they graduate from the University and move on to the “real world” are in a difficult position. They have outgrown the coverage their parents once provided them, and are most likely unable to obtain a job with health benefits, nor afford coverage on their own. Obama plans to increase the age that one can be covered under a parent’s policy, thus alleviating some of that transitional stress. He also feels that young adults in general will have better access to higher quality insurance through Obama’s plan. Do you agree with Meloy?
